The Road to Technology (Bridge out)
I love technology. Truly. But sometimes technology looks at me, laughs, and decides it's going to ruin my entire day. My little tech projects don't always go the way I plan, and honestly... that's the fun. These are my personal adventures in the tech trenches! ENJOY THE CHAOS!
Hermes: The Project that tried to end me!
I jumped into the Hermes project thinking it would be fun. I figured I’d learn something, strengthen my tech muscles, maybe feel like a cool cyberwitch summoning APIs.
Instead, Hermes broke me.
Downloading everything was easy—that was the trap. The moment I started setting it up, everything went straight to hell in a handbasket.
I thought connecting Hermes to LM Studio would be the easy part. I could not have been more wrong.
I ended up creating—and recreating—more than 12 API keys because Hermes rejected each one as if it were judging my life choices. If those keys had been on a real key ring, I’d have been dragging around a metal chandelier.
Once I finally got that fire put out, WhatsApp stepped in like, “Oh, you thought you were done? Cute.”
I connected everything… and right at that moment, a potential employer texted me.
Hermes blew her up. Message after message after message—rapid-fire chaos. She had to block me.
How do you explain that? “My AI experiment went rogue”? “I swear I’m employable, please don’t run”?
I panicked, disconnected everything, slammed my laptop shut, and went to bed like a Victorian woman with a case of the vapors.
Hermes? More like Pan—chaotic forest god energy, running wild and causing problems.
